Matter MazeBall: Element Trials — published by Garoo Interactive Gaming
Effective date: 29 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Matter MazeBall (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information. The App is designed to run mostly on your device. It does not have user accounts or a login, and it does not collect or transmit anything that identifies you personally. It does keep a small local record of gameplay activity on your device, described in Section 2 below — that record stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. If you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad (Section 6), that feature does send limited device information to Google, as described below.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal data. The App has no user accounts, no login, and cannot identify who you are. It does generate a random, anonymous installation identifier and record basic gameplay activity, as described in the next section — this is not personal data and is not linked to your name, account, device ID, advertising ID, or any other identifier.
2. Data stored on your device
To make the game work, the App saves your progress locally on your device only (using your device’s standard app storage). This includes things like:
- Your coin balance and which balls, mazes, and cosmetics you’ve unlocked
- Best times / records for each maze
- Settings such as sound on/off and the minimap toggle
This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.
3. On-device gameplay analytics
The App keeps a local log of basic gameplay activity to help us understand how the game is used and to improve it. This includes:
- A random installation ID (generated on your device, not tied to your name, account, device hardware ID, or advertising ID)
- Gameplay events such as session start/end, level start/end and its outcome (won, quit, or failed), which ball you selected, when the shop or an in-app purchase screen was viewed, purchases made, settings changes, and basic error/crash information
These events are written to a small local log capped at 500 entries (older entries are dropped as new ones are added). As of this version of the App, this log stays on your device — nothing in it is transmitted to us or to any third party. We may introduce a way to send this log to our own servers in a future update, strictly to understand how the game performs and to fix problems; if we do, we will update this section, and this policy, before that change ships.
You can reset this log at any time from Settings → Reset analytics ID, which generates a new random installation ID and erases the existing log. This is the App’s opt-out control for on-device analytics.
4. Device sensors
The App reads your device’s motion/orientation sensor (gyroscope) to let you steer by tilting. This sensor data is used in real time on your device to move the ball and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
5. Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases. These are processed entirely by the platform’s own billing system — Apple’s App Store (StoreKit) on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not receive or store your payment details, card numbers, or billing information — that is handled by Apple and Google under their respective privacy policies (Apple / Google).
6. Advertising
The App shows optional, opt-in rewarded video ads — you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward (extra revive, doubled coins, or a daily bonus). These ads are served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and other device/app information, and share it with Google and Google's advertising partners, to select and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized advertising, in your device's Settings (Google Settings → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your Android version). The App never shows ads without you tapping to request one — there are no interstitial or banner ads. See Google's Partner Policy for how Google uses this data. If Remove Ads (an in-app purchase) is active, these rewarded placements are still available if you choose to use them, since watching one is always your choice, not something shown to you automatically. Its gameplay analytics (Section 3) remain our own, first-party, on-device log — not a third-party service.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is suitable for general audiences. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and its on-device analytics (Section 3) use only an anonymous, randomly generated installation ID that cannot identify a specific person. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Third-party services
The third parties involved are the app stores that distribute the App — the Apple App Store and Google Play — which deliver the App and process any in-app purchases, and Google AdMob, which serves the optional rewarded video ads described in Section 6. Outside of an ad you choose to watch, the App contains no third-party trackers or third-party analytics SDKs, and makes no other network connections of its own.
9. Your choices
You can clear all locally stored game data, including the analytics log, at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s storage in your device settings. You can also reset just the analytics log, without affecting your saved progress, using Settings → Reset analytics ID (see Section 3).
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
